Von Dale Jackson

Von D. Jackson, age 57 of Cardington died on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. He was born on September 11, 1965, in Lebanon, Virginia to Ray V. Jackson and Delphia M. (Hubbard) Young.

Von was a 1983 graduate of Cardington Lincoln High School and had most recently worked for Lubrication Specialties Inc.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Von also loved to entertain people and would always host friends to play cards, cornhole, and other fun games. His most treasured time though, was spent with his grandchildren, he loved every minute he got to spend with them.

Von is survived by his mother, Delphia Young of Fulton; two daughters: Brittany Jackson of Cardington and Nicole Jackson of Marion; three grandchildren: Peyton Simpkins, Avery Phillips, and Brody Keeran; several siblings: Danny Townsend, Keith Townsend, Kenneth Young Jr., Dale Jackson, Keith Jackson, Rayette, Rebecca, and Rachel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

In addition to his father, Von was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Jackson.

Friends may call on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation at 5:30PM.
