Thomas "Tom" Michael Adams

Thomas "Tom" M. Adams age 63 of Marengo, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 3, 2025, after a few health battles. He was born on May 22, 1962, to the late Robert and Andrea (Allyn) Adams.

Tom built a successful career in construction, eventually owning and operating Green Line Construction. He took great pride in his work and was a highly skilled professional in the excavation business where he was respected by his peers. He could visualize a project, see the beauty in land, and shape the land around him.

A kind and true servant at heart, Tom never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need. He did not know a stranger. He was very generous and went out of his way to help people without asking for anything in return. He found joy in life's simple pleasures; mowing grass, sitting quietly by a campfire, playing cards, spending time with friends, and watching combines work the fields. He had many farm ideas to share. Tom loved attending farm consignment sales, the Farm Science Review, cruising on his golf cart, and taking in all of the peaceful views. You could always count on finding Tom wherever there was dirt to move, a job to do, or a friend to help, and more often than not he had his Levi Garrett chew in his pocket and a bottle of unsweet tea close by.

Tom will be missed by his brother Donald Adams of Marion, several cousins, family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers Jay and Mark Adams.

Tom was honored with a small service on Friday July 11, 2025, and is buried in Marlborough Cemetery in Delaware.
