Thomas Franklin Fitzpatrick

Thomas F. Fitzpatrick, age 88 of Cardington passed away Saturday November 9, 2024, at his residence. He was born on May 29, 1936, in Selwyn, West Virginia to the late Asa and Madge (Miller) Fitzpatrick.

Thomas was a graduate of Kermit High School in West Virginia. He had worked as a factory worker for Columbus Auto Parts for 27 years. He later went on to work for Whirlpool for another 10 years until his retirement at the age of 62.

Thomas enjoyed anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and trapping. He was a member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited. Thomas was a handyman and was able to make and fix anything. He played slow pitch softball in his younger years and his love for sports is why he continued to become a coach for youth sports. Thomas was a founding member of the Fulton Baseball and Softball league.

On May 25, 1962, Thomas married Glenda (Hogston) in Virginia, she survives in Cardington.

In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by his sons Kevin and Christopher Fitzpatrick; as well as extended family members: Joey Reed, Carl, Courtney, Clark and Claire Burgazli.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by four brothers Benny, Bob, Asa and Drake and his five sisters Bug, Tina, Faye, Dode, and Dice.

A celebration of life for Thomas will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cardington Community Center, 111 West 2nd St. Cardington, Ohio 43315.
