Thomas Jeffrey Baer

July 31, 1981 ~ August 3, 2023 (age 42) 42 Years Old

In loving memory of Thomas Baer, who left us unexpectedly at the young age of 42 on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Tom was the son of Daniel Baer and Laurie Baer (Jones). He was a cherished brother to three siblings. Brother, Ryan Baer; sister, Heather Barnett (Bill); sister, Joni Guinn (Luke).

He is survived by his wife Tesha (Reynolds) Baer, father Daniel Baer, and his mother Laurie Baer and stepfather David Hurt. His four children, Joseph Christian Luster, 23, (Kourtney) from Kirkland WA., Jaden Wayne Baer, 19, and Thomas Dalton Baer, 19, from Mansfield OH., and Kinsey Nelle Guinn, 5, from Johnson City TN. He also had so much love for his seven nephews and three nieces, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Tom brought immense joy and laughter into the lives of others and was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Tom worked many years in warehousing and inventory management. He acquired welding skills at North Central State College and pursued a career within the field of welding and was particularly proud of his certification in Oracle software systems. He was a connoisseur of Indian artifacts, including arrowheads, pottery, and other relics. He also enjoyed digging and searching for historical artifacts as a longtime hobby. He would often spend time reading books, writing poetry, and creating personal artwork, including a recent interest in the art of origami. He was a camping enthusiast and enjoyed time on the water swimming and boating. He had a big heart, big smile, and would never hesitate to help someone in need.

He attended Mt. Gilead Friends Church and Fairfiew Methodist as a child, and Trinity Assembly Church of God as an adult. He was Baptized at Trinity Assembly and later recommitted his life to the Lord, often keeping a journal where he recorded scripture and personal prayers.

There will be a private viewing and prayer by the immediate family at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date in Johnson City, TN. His remains will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Johnson City, TN. The family requests those who wish to show sympathy to consider making a donation that will go toward his memoriam at Memory Gardens at the following link: on Venmo search @Laurie4878.

His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
