Teddy “Ted” A. Robinson, son of Bernard A. Robinson and Lela L. (Hoskins) Robinson, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the age of 75 after a long battle with COPD.
A decorated Vietnam veteran, Ted proudly served in the 4th Battalion, 37th Armor, where he was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery. Ted enjoyed classic rock music and American muscle cars. Ted was a resident of the Canterbury House in Charleston, South Carolina for the last decade where he established many friendships with neighbors and staff of the building.
He is preceded in death by his sister Rebeca (Robinson) Moder and former wife Mary Keisling, mother of two surviving daughters Lauri Robinson and Lisa Swartwood. He is also survived by former wife Leila (Hendricks) Robinson, mother of two surviving children Dawn (Robert) Bowers and Travis (Heather) Robinson. Ted will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Michael, Amanda, Emily, Matthew, Jessica, Miranda, Morgan, and Samantha, along with their spouses and his five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on November 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery, 1290 W. 5th Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040 with military honors. Following the graveside service a Celebration of Ted’s Life will be from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at 4916 Olentangy River Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015.
