Steven E. Crooks, age 67 of Delaware, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital from an extended illness.
Steve graduated from Big Walnut High School in 1972. He went on to work at Dawson Farms in Delaware, Ohio for over 25 years.
He was born September 4, 1953 in Delaware to the late Laverne and Donna (Tuller) Crooks of Sunbury, Ohio.
He is survived by his three siblings: Terry and Julie (Bahl) Crooks, Greg and Deborah (Crooks) Leaf, and Richard and Lisa (Knodell) Crooks, as well as many nieces, nephews and his wife Alicia. He shared wonderful memories with his family, Aunt Joyce (Tuller) and Uncle Bob Seitz, and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents Frances (Brookens) and Orville Tuller, Eric and Elodia (Heil) Crooks, and nephew Peter Leaf.
Steve enjoyed his time as a member of The Young Farmer’s Association and serving on the Lamb and Pig Committee at the Delaware County Fair for many years. During his favorite time of year, you would find him with a smile on his face and a hurdle in his hands, helping many 4-H kids during their livestock show. Steve will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any local Hospice.
A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at a late date with his family.
