Stanley E. Partlow, age 72 of Cardington, died on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the Marion General Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1950, in Fulton to the late Robert E. and Thelma J. (Carpenter) Partlow, Sr.
Stanley was a 1968 graduate of the Cardington Lincoln High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sharpshooter in Turkey. He returned to work in the family business, Bob and Son's Welding in Cardington. He was a member of the AmVets Post #87 and V.F.W. Post 8054 both in Mt. Gilead and Jenkins-Vaughn American Legion Post #97 in Cardington. Stanley's greatest joy in life was being with his family.
Stanley is survived by his brothers: Robert E. Partlow, Jr. of Cardington and Roger D. (Debbie) Partlow of Mt. Gilead; the love of his life for 35 years, Jackie Sample of Westerville, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his sister-in-law June Partlow and nephew Philip Partlow.
Friends may call on Sunday February 27, 2022, from 1:00PM until the start of the funeral service at 2:00PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The service will begin at 2:00PM with Pastor TJ McNew officiating and Full Military Honors will be performed.
