Sidney "Gary" Lane Obituary

Sidney G. “Gary” Lane, age 55 of Marion, died unexpectedly on November 14, 2018 in Marion. He was born on December 9, 1962 in Cleveland to the late Aldia and Marcel (Hill) Lane.

Gary worked many years with his Stepdad at Hollifields tire. He enjoyed riding and tearing up dirt bikes. Gary loved to read; his favorite authors were James Patterson and Dean Koontz. He had a passion for watching any sport on TV, especially football.

Gary is survived by his two daughters; Savannah Lane of Marion, and Marcie Maloney of New Hampshire; girlfriend, Tammy Withem; a sister, Zonie Compton of Marion; an aunt, Bobbie (Larry) Shipton of South Carolina; nieces: Dea (Gary) White of Richwood, Kelli Compton of Marion, Lacey Compton of Richwood, Jadelyn Buckley of Columbus; 7 grandchildren and 5 nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister Donna Sherman.
