Shirley A. Taylor, beloved mother and grandmother, age 86 of Marengo passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at her home. She was born on November 16, 1937, in Racine, OH to the late James and Flossie Gertrude (Rhodes) Pickens.
Shirley had worked at Mount Gilead Kroger Pharmacy until her retirement. She was a long time 4-H advisor and was dedicated to helping young children learn and grow their love for 4-H.
On October 6, 1953, Shirley married George H. Taylor in Richmond, Indiana, he preceded her in death on May 6, 2011.
Shirley is survived by her loving sons, Michael Taylor and George Taylor II (Lisa Taylor) both of Mount Gilead, eleven grandchildren: Michael A. Taylor, Casey Taylor, Courtney Dobikin, Luke Miller, Ashleigh Adkins, Jessica Taylor, Elizabeth Trimble, Makenzie Taylor, Angela Clark, Amanda Clark, and Frankie Clark; as well as eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda K. Taylor and Elizabeth A. Taylor Clark.
