Sheila Sue (Postell) Cornelius

Sheila Sue Cornelius, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, age 85 of Marion, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 24, 1939, in Marion to the late Andrew J. and Lillian G. (Olin) Postell.

Sheila was a dedicated and compassionate real estate professional; she spent much of her life helping others find a place to call home. As a realtor, she worked with numerous agencies over the years, building a reputation for her integrity, warmth, and unwavering commitment to her clients. Her career was marked not only by her professionalism but by the lasting relationships she formed along the way.

Sheila's greatest comfort was as, a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, where she was joined in the fellowship of the faithful saints through her baptism. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family. Sheila cherished every moment she shared with the people she loved most.

On June 2, 1956, Sheila married the love of her life Franklin D. Cornelius, he preceded her in death on April 25, 1998.

Sheila is survived by her children: Kismet Leslie, A. (Laurie) Cornelius both of Marion and Brett (Katie) Cornelius of Vandalia, IL, her sister Sharon Beeney of Marion and her special little sister Jackie Davis of Cardington; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Sheila was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through his servant Sheila

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 9:00 until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 219 E. Church Street, Marion, Ohio 43302 with Pastor Cody Schrepferman officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Chapel Heights Memory Garden, 2622 Marion Upper Sandusky Road, Marion, Ohio 43302

In lieu of flowers, Shelia requested to consider a memorial contribution to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 219 E. Church Street, Marion, Ohio 43302.
