Sarah Ann (Bosh) Shonk

Sarah A. Shonk, mother, grandmother, and sister, age 85 of Cardington, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Marion Pointe. She was born on August 13, 1939, to Royal and Iva (Miley) Bosh who preceded her in death.

As a homemaker, Sarah dedicated her life to raising and providing for her family. She was also known for her work at Family Dollar in both Mount Gilead and Cardington, where her friendly demeanor and unwavering dedication made her a beloved member of the community.

Sarah found joy in collecting Hot Wheel cars and bear figurines, each piece reflecting her vibrant spirit. Her love for creativity extended to crocheting, a craft through which she crafted beautiful treasures for her family and friends.

On July 14, 1962, Sarah married William L. Shonk in Fulton, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2015.

Sarah is survived by her children Trent (Nicole) Shonk, Barb Olmstead, Tab Shonk, Todd Shonk, Tammy Arm, Tonya Brown, and Toby Shonk; 15 grandchildren; and siblings Sandra Thaw of Marion, Nancy Bosh of Marion, and Gerald (Patricia) Bosh of Washington.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sarah was preceded in death by a brother Marvin Bosh.

At Sarah's request no formal funeral services will be held.
