Sandie was born in Ohio, an only child of William and Leora Wedge. She moved to Minnesota in 1950 and met Hunter in late 1959. They married in 1960 and moved to Chester County where they raised four sons. While living in Chester County, she became interested in the local history of the area. She always enjoyed hand sewing. In 1990 she combined the two interests and started teaching her craft at various historical museums in several counties. She re-created rugs from the 1800's. She especially enjoyed the Sunday Rugs (the name came from them being turned upside down during the week and right side up only on Sunday when the Stories of the Bible may have been told to the children.) Her greatest joy was to be able to talk about the Lord and to create the Word of God in a woolen rug. Her business scripture was Romans 15:13 which she was able to share with others. Her favorite rug was based in Psalms 107:29 and Job 38:7.
Private interment will take place at Fulton Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
