Ronald Lee Young Jr.

Ronald L. Young Jr., age 57, of Mount Gilead passed away. He was born on May 19, 1968, in Mount Gilead to the late Ronald L. and Peggy E. (Hubbard) Young Sr.

Ronald was a carpenter and had worked for several companies over the years. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of the outdoors, hunted and fishing. Ronald was known for taking in the beauty of nature while driving down the country roads. In the spring you would find him in the woods mushroom hunting with his grandchildren.

On April 30, 1988, Ronald married the love of his life Tressa Sue (French) in Mount Gilead. She survives in Mount Gilead.

In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his children: Jeremy (Minerva) Young of Cardington and Matthew (Jordan) Young of Gahanna; nine grandchildren: Tommy, Tyson, Jaylie, Harper, Layla, and Maddox Young and Nathan, Nolan, and Katelynn Steward; his siblings: Christopher (Kristen) Young of North Woodbury, Deborah Childers and Teresa DeLaCruz both of Mount Gilead and Allen Hubbard of Swords Creek, VA.

Friends may call on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Service, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6:00 PM with Pastor Donna Ball officiating.
