Ronald Elliott Armstrong

Ronald E. Armstrong, age 77 of Ashley passed away Friday, December 9, 2022, at his home. He was born on May 13, 1945, in Columbus to the late Clyde W. and May (Bower) Armstrong.

Ron attended West High School in Columbus, class of 1964. He went on to attain a bachelor's degree in business administration. From there he went on to open and run his very own successful business. He was a long-standing member of the Blind Community. Ron was loved by all who knew him. He had never met a stranger and befriended everyone. Ron definitely made the world a better place.

Ron is survived by his children: Ronald (Tammy Lowther-Sech) Armstrong, Malinda (Jason) Pollard, and Douglas Armstrong; and his two grandsons, Maxwell, and Travis Pollard.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sweetheart of 25 years Susann Munn and his two sisters Floretta and Charlene Armstrong.

Friends may call on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral will directly follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Donnie Akers officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Somerford Cemetery.
