Roger Doyle Rogers

Roger Doyle Rogers, age 66 of Mount Gilead, passed away on August 7, 2024. He was born on September 23, 1957, to Doyle and Dorthea Mae (Fitzpatrick) Rogers.

Roger was a graduate of Cardington High School, class of 1975, and later attended the University of Akron where he received his bachelor's degree in Commercial Art. Roger was an accomplished artist known for his vibrant creations that brought joy to all who beheld them. He was a dedicated line worker at Honda, where he daily poured his passion and work ethic into his craft.

Roger will be dearly missed by his father Doyle Rogers, his brothers Ronald and Allen Rogers, and his sister Teresa King as well as eight nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews. He had a deep love for animals, including his cherished Macaws named Rico and Manny, who were his faithful companions.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Dorthea Rogers, his sister Pamela Dettra and sister-in-law Linda (King) Rogers.

Friends may call on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
