Robert E. Partlow Jr. "Bobby" age 77 of Cardington entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, surrounded by his family at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Bobby was born on November 15, 1947, a son of the late Robert E. Sr. and Thelma J. (Carpenter) Partlow.
Bobby attended Cardington-Lincoln High School and then was drafted during the Vietnam War where he proudly served his country and was stationed in Japan. A lifelong welder upon returning home he worked for the family business, Bob and Son's Welding. He later spent many years working for Stahl's. Bobby retired but was not ready to quit working and took a job he truly enjoyed at Farmer Co-Op. In his younger years Bobby was an avid outdoorsman whether it was hunting, fishing or shooting in the back yard with friends and family. Bobby loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
On November 15, 1985, in Cardington Bobby married the love of his life June Marie Partlow (McPeek) in Cardington, she preceded him in death. Along with his parents Robert Sr. and Thelma Partlow, his brother Stanley E. Partlow and son Phillip B. Partlow
Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Michael (Shelly) Partlow of Mount Gilead, Frederick (Shannon) Baldwin of Edison. Along with estranged sons: Robert III, Robbie, and Shawn Partlow; brother Roger (Debbie) Partlow of Mount Gilead; and his grandchildren: Asha, Jordan, Logan, Aryanna, and Malachi, and great-grandchild Issla.
A graveside service with full military honors for Bobby will take place Friday, July 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Glendale Union Cemetery with Pastor Bob Hess officiating.
