Robert Paul Miller Jr.

Robert P. Miller, age 81 of Marengo died Saturday March 6, 2021 in the Bennington Glenn Nursing Home. He was born Aug. 19, 1939 in Columbus to the late Robert P. and Lena L. (Moore) Miller, Sr.

Bob was a 1957 graduate of Greensboro Senior High School in North Carolina. He was retired from the Public Employees Retirement System of Ohio where he had worked as an interviewer.

Music was an important part of Bob's life. He enjoyed playing the trumpet and singing, especially in a Barbershop Quartet. He was a longtime active member of the Alum Creek Friends Church. Bob had a passion for collecting cars. It is no surprise to those who knew him that Bob could strike up a conversation with anyone.

On June 28, 1980 Bob married the former Hazel Henry and she survives. Additional survivors include his children, Robert Owen Miller of San Jose, CA. and Teresa (Ken) Holtzman of Ft. Worth, TX.; siblings, Joe (Kathleen Campbell) Miller of Tacoma, WA. and Mary Beth (Reverend Joe) Green of Maryville, TN.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister Vangie Hughes.

Friends may call on Wednesday March 10, 2021 from 10:00Am until the start of the funeral service at 11:00AM in the Alum Creek Friends Church, 3385 State Route 229, Marengo. Pastor Brad Duncan will officiate, and the burial will follow in the Alum Creek Cemetery. Due to the Governor's mandate, face masks are required to enter the Church.
