Robert E. Fredrickson, age 71 formerly of Delaware, died on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Woodside Village Care Center. He was born on December 8, 1950, to the late Robert I. and Loretta J. (Palmer) Fredrickson.
Robert graduated high school and went on to obtain degree's from Central Piedmont Community College and Urbana University. He was a proud veteran who served honorably in the United States Air Force. While serving our county, Robert obtained the rank of Sergeant, spending time in Japan as an air traffic controller and specialized in communications. Robert was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Robert worked for Mount Carmel West Hospital, where he worked his way up to head of security. Robert served more than 25 years until his retirement.
Left to cherish Robert's memory are his 2 children: Amy (Joseph) Elverson of Cardington and Neal (Kristin) Fredrickson of Marengo, 4 grandchildren: Olivia, Logan Elverson and Owen, Raegan Fredrickson, and 2 nephews: J. J., Patrick Fredrickson of Germany.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Fredrickson.
Robert was passionate about his children, grandchildren, golf and green time, and finally, The Ohio State Buckeyes. Robert was always prepared for football season with his favorite OSU ball cap, red shorts, and Buckeye shirt. His quick wit and sense of humor made him a favorite among his co-workers and friends.
Robert's family will be honoring his wishes by celebrating his life with a private family memorial.
