Rhodella Thompson Obituary

Rhodella Thompson, age 71 of Marengo died Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on February 7, 1949 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Melvin and Ella J. (Hatfield) Browning.

Rhodella had worked in the packaging department for Worthington Foods.

For Rhodella, family was her top priority and she loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed traveling to Tennessee with her husband, where they would rent a cabin and go bear watching.

On August 13, 1979 in Columbus, Ohio Rhodella married Johnnie E. Thompson and he survives in Marengo.

In addition to her husband, Rhodella is survived by 3 children: Jay (Sara) Thompson of Galena, Michael (Sissy) Thompson of Dublin and William Thompson of Mt. Pilot, North Carolina; 2 brothers: Dallas (Judy) Browning and Roger (Judy) Browning both of Columbus and 7 grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rhodella was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Harold, Delmas and Dana Browning.
