Rebecca May (Kanniard) Garcia

Rebecca M. Garica, age 61 of Delaware passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 13, 1961, in Columbus to Howard "Dick" Kanniard and Opal (Henson) Kanniard.

Rebecca had most recently worked for Airwaves in Lewis Center. She enjoyed going to thrift stores, reading books, and watching movies. Most of all she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, that was her life.

Rebecca is survived by her mother Opal Kanniard of Delaware, her two children: Gloria West of Delaware and Paul (Jessica) Dolan of West Liberty; four grandchildren: Caleb and Emma Dolan and Royce and Liam West; her siblings Ronnie Kanniard of Cardington and Lucy Kanniard of Delaware

In addition to her father Howard "Dick" Kanniard, Rebecca was preceded in death by her brother John Kanniard.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Ashley Cemetery at 11:00 AM for all friends and family.

Those wishing to make a memorial contribution, if so desired, may be made to Gompf Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
