Ralph Hawk Obituary

Ralph Edson Hawk, age 86 of Mount Gilead passed away, October 11, 2022, at Morrow County Hospital. He was born on February 9, 1936, in Radnor Township to Ralph and Myrta (Swam) Hawk who preceded him in death.

Ralph was a 1954 graduate of Radnor High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from January of 1955 until his honorable discharge in January of 1959. Ralph had worked as an electrician for IBEW 683.

Ralph enjoyed hunting and fishing. He trained hunting beagles and at one time had trained a champion. Ralph was very well known around the country for his dog training ability. You could always find him with his camera in his hand, ready to snap a picture. Everything he did was about his children and grandchildren. Ralph was very passionate about genealogy and spent a lot of his time researching family history.

On July 19, 1957, Ralph married Lois Ann (Roller) in Prospect, Ohio at the Prospect United Methodist Church. She preceded him death on June 21, 2017.

Ralph is survived by his two sons Scott and Steven Hawk both of Mount Gilead, his grandchildren: Laura (Dustin) Richards and Wade (Sabrina) Hawk; his great-grandchildren: Landon Richards and Serenity Hawk; and his sister Phyllis (Fred) Price.

In addition to his parents and his wife Lois, Ralph was preceded in death by his son Gary Hawk, his two sisters Irma Baxter and Luella Jean Stevens.

Per Ralph's wishes no formal services will take place.
