Patricia Ann (Burnside) Weston

Patricia A. Weston, age 88 of Cardington passed away early Saturday morning, October 21, 2023, at Woodside Village Care Center. She was born on August 24, 1935, in Athens to the late Wilfred and Sarah (Barnhart) Burnside.

Patricia had worked for the Cardington Locker Plant and Burcliff Industries. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church.

Patricia in her free time was a Girl Scout leader and active in the Cardington Athletic Boosters and Band Boosters. She loved supporting Cardington athletics, especially when they were able to beat Mount Gilead. Patricia was a big supporter of her children and grandchildren in all the activities they were apart of.

On March 6, 1954, Patricia married Richard E. Weston in Liberty, Indiana, he survives in Cardington.

In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her children: Jim (Pam)Weston of Galion, Jenny Weston of Cardington, Jerry (Cindy) Weston of Cardington, and Judy (Jim) Higgins of Cardington; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one step grandchild; and her sister Sandy (Ken) Hughes.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother Bud Burnside.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington.

The family would like to thank all the medical staff at the Marion General, Ohio State, and Morrow County Hospitals as well as the great care she received from all the staff at Woodside Village.
