Nolan Coleman age 77 of Cardington, went to be with his Lord on May 18, 2025. He was born on October 6, 1947, in Wolfpit, KY to the late Frank M. and Letha (Anderson) Coleman. Nolan graduated from Hellier High School in 1967, that same year he married Patricia on September 16. Nolan proudly served in the United States Army. He was artillery crewman and was stationed in Vietnam. While serving his country, Trish gave birth to their only child, Gregory Todd on March 15, 1969. Nolan was honorably discharged in 1970. He proudly served his country and respected others that did also.
Nolan was a hard-working man his whole life. He worked at Marion Power Shove, CYT and Rolls Royce as a maintenance manager. Nolan loved fishing with Trish, feeding the birds in the backyard and gardening. He was also a very gifted artist. Nolan blessed his family with many of his paintings. Most of all Nolan enjoyed having family over for a meal and homemade ice cream, he had the recipe perfected.
Along with his wife Patricia, Nolan is survived by his brother Rocky (Ronda) Coleman, sister Leisa (Joe) Damron; sisters-in-law Sharon Coleman and Floetta Coleman; brother-in-law Larry (Sue) Coleman and Jr. Newsom. He had numerous nieces and nephews that he loved and was proud to show you pictures of them. Nolan and Trish had a special love for Debbie, Janet, Brian, Keith, Kianna, Wyatt, Lane, Branson, Cole, Braelyn, and Kenton. They treasured them.
In addition to his parents, Nolan was preceded in death by his son Gregory Todd and brother Rowland " Butterball" Coleman.
Nolan was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Marion. He served the church as a trustee. 2 Timothy 4:7, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the funeral home at 11:00 am with Pastor Nicholas Worden officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery, with Military Honors observed.
