Natalie (Skorupa) Harris

Natalie Harris, age 50 of Cardington died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Morrow County Hospital. She was born on November 25, 1969 in Detroit, MI to the late Myron and Sofia (Sawkulycz) Skorupa.

Natalie was a 1987 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Warren, MI. She went on to achieve her Nursing Degree at the Henry Ford School of nursing. At the time of her passing, Natalie was working for Aetna Insurance as an appeals nurse consultant.

On October 7, 2006, Natalie married Joe Harris in Mt. Gilead and he survives her in Cardington. They enjoyed many years together raising kids, hosting family get togethers, camping, traveling, and creating memories all while making many friends along the way.

Natalie loved to help others and gave to various organizations which included: Kids for Christmas, Battered Women Shelters, clothing drives, animal shelters and local rescues. She loved taking care of her grandchildren, cooking, photography, and taking care of her multiple pets. She enjoyed the many years of supporting her children and grandchildren in their various activities. Natalie was a selfless person who always put others before herself. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Natalie is survived by her children: Alex (Hannah) Taha, Mikhal Taha, Josh (Lindsay) Harris all of Cardington, and Shina (Matt) Painter of Delaware; 3 brothers: Terry (Irene) Skorupa of Charlotte, NC, Myron Skorupa of Sandusky, MI, and Steve (Natalia) Skorupa of Clinton Twp., MI; 4 grandchildren; Jackson, Griffin, Finnley Painter, and Daxton Harris.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street, in Cardington. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Following the funeral, the burial will take place at the Fulton Cemetery.
