Nancy Ann (Wilfong) Walpole

Nancy A. Walpole, age 84 of Cardington died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on June 21, 1934 in Weston, WV to the late Floyd Frank and Eura Gay (Kirkpatrick) Wilfong.

Nancy had worked as a nurse’s aide for most of her life. She enjoyed writing and sending cards, cooking and baking, gardening and canning and was a fan of dirt track racing.

Nancy is survived by 2 sons: Glenn (Linda) Hanning and Rick (Diana Apidone) Hanning both of Ashland, significant other, Wayne Cole of Cardington; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Gary Hanning.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a service starting at 4:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington. Pastor Jim Bloomfield will officiate and a burial in the Vermillion Cemetery will take place at a later date.
