Nancy A. Taylor, age 73 of Marion died Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Marion General Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on July 11, 1948, in Columbus to Charles and Pearl (Monroe) Russell who preceded her in death.
She was a devoting mother and wife that loved all. She enjoyed fishing and camping and quality time with the love of her life. Her family was her life, she would go out of the way to help them all. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
On April 8, 1983, Nancy married the love of her life Larry Taylor Sr., he survives in Marion.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her children: Keith (Melissa) Akers of Fredericktown, Sherri (Tara) Akers of Marion, Kim Akers of Mount Gilead, Larry Taylor Jr. (Hope) of Ashland, Sue (Rich) Kimes of Fulton, her sister Ida Kimes of Fulton, and twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers Roy Russell, Eddie Russell, James Russell, Butch Russell and Lloyd Russell, and her grandson Sheldon Greene.
Friends may call on Monday, January 24, 2022, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Celebrant LeAnne Gompf officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
