Milissa J. Vanderhoff, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, age 65 of Waldo passed on Monday, December 29, 2025. She was born on November 3, 1960, in Delaware to the late Thomas and Doris (Gale) Crump.
Milissa was a 1978 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School. She was a dedicated stay-at-home mom and homemaker, who also generously volunteered her time to clean and support the activities at her church.
Milissa was a beloved member of Upper Room Church in Cardington, where she shared her faith with kindness and passion. She had a deep love for painting, especially oil painting, and found joy in the art of canning and gardening. Milissa was known for her generosity, always offering her time and resources to others. She loved to talk about her faith in Jesus, and her conversations often included the many dreams she had. Her warm spirit and giving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
On July 24, 1998, Milissa married Ted Vanderhoff in Westfield, Ted survives in Waldo.
In addition to her husband, Milissa is survived by her children: Josh Ruggles of Waldo, Sarah (Jason) Moody of Delaware, Ryan Ruggles of Texas, Nicholas Vanderhoff of Waldo, John (Megan) Vanderhoff of Texas and Michael Vanderhoff of South Carolina; seven grandchildren: Elleanna Sword, Abigail, Asher and Roman Moody, Theo, Zoey, and Austin Vanderhoff; one great-grandchild Hezekiah Sword; as well as her siblings: Noreena (Don)Taylor, Cindy Darst, Jerry Crump, Patty Whiting, Andrew (Georgetta) Crump, Jackie Young, Tammy (Shawn) Bennett and Timothy (Rhonda) Crump.
In addition to her parents, Milissa was preceded in death by her brother Keith Crump.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Westfield Community Church, 880 County Road 21, Ashley, Ohio 43003, with the funeral service directly starting at 1:00 PM with Pastor Dwight Cimino officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Westfield Cemetery.
