Mattie Lynn Robinson

Mattie Robinson, age 56 of Cardington passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. She was born on September 13, 1965, to Elsie (George) Deckling who survives in Cardington

Mattie graduated from Cardington-Lincoln High School in 1983. Mattie was a bus driver for Delaware City Schools. She drove bus for special needs children, she absolutely loved her job and the children.

Mattie loved gardening and planting in her flower beds. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting seashells on the beach, trips, traveling and exploring all over.

On September 1, 2006, Mattie married Melvin Robinson in Cardington, he survives in Cardington.

In addition to her husband Melvin, Mattie is survived by her children: Aaron (Ashley) Kincaid of Wadsworth, Megan (Wes) Lane of Johnstown, and Mark (Kate) Robinson of Fayetteville, GA.; her grandchildren: Shawn Kincaid, Tyson Kincaid, Elizabeth Robinson, Maria Louisa Robinson, Mark Robinson III, Anderson Lane, and Lila Claire Lane; siblings Trish (Jeffrey) Stone of Caledonia, George Deckling Jr. of Cardington, Bill (Jennifer) Deckling of Marengo and Linda (Brad) Hall of Mount Vernon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the funeral home at 11:00 am with Pastor Lucian Baker officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
