Mary Davis Obituary

Age 84, of Township Road 112, Mount Gilead, OH died Monday, March 27, 2006 in the Extended Care Unit of the Morrow County Hospital. She was born March 19, 1922 in Huntington, WV to the late Russell Leonard and Ruth Marie (Steele) Sparks.

Pauline was a member of the Church of the Sacred Hearts Parish. She was retired from her housekeeping position with the church.

In 1944 at St. Ladislas in Columbus, OH she married Charles A. Davis and he survives in Mt. Gilead.

Survivors also include 6 children and their spouses, Charles G. Davis of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Daniel L. and Carolyn Davis of White Pine, TN, Mary Margaret. and Jay Badders of Lancaster, OH, Theresa D. and Tom Hills of Hermitage, TN, Michael G. and Laura Davis of Chesterville, OH, and Jim and Pam Davis of Mt. Gilead; 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a sister, Faye McCann of Baltimore, OH.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington from 3:00-5:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM where the rosary will be read at 5:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM, Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Church of the Sacred Hearts, 4680 US Route 42, Cardington, OH. Father J. Barry Bentz will officiate and burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery.
