Mary Lou Blue, age 88 of Marion died Monday, December 6, 2021, at Primrose Retirement Community of Marion. She was born on December 2, 1933, to F. Freeman and Mildred (Beamer) Jacobs who preceded her in death.
Mary Lou graduated from Harding High School in 1951. She was a lifelong homemaker raising her family. Mary Lou was a member of the St. John's Windfall Lutheran Church and later became a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church where she was involved with many church activities. Mary Lou enjoyed sewing, quilting, doing multiple kinds of crafts, and sitting around the campfire with her family. Mary Lou also cherished the times she got to travel with her husband and her siblings. They took several trips together over the years.
On June 19, 1954, Mary Lou married Gerald Lincoln Blue in Marion. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2020.
Mary Lou is survived by her children Dale (Donna) Blue of Poughkeepsie, NY., Craig (Jeri) Blue of Marion, and Ann (Buddy) Yates of Marion, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, her brother Thomas Jacobs of Marion, and her sisters Bonnie Campbell of Marion and Janice (Franklin) Stults of FL.
A graveside service for Mary Lou will be held on Monday December 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Windfall Cemetery with Pastor Steven Dennis officiating.
