Marjorie L. Gattshall, age 79 of Marion, died on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1942, in Cardington to the late R. Wayne and Ruth E. (Conaway) Westbrook.
Marge was a 1960 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. She also attended the Cardington First United Methodist Church.
On February 14, 1961, in Monroe, MI Marge married Leo E. Gattshall, and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2008.
Family was the most important thing for Marge, she spent many years as a Homemaker caring for and looking after her family. She was always the biggest cheerleader for her family and lovingly cared for them always. Marge enjoyed walking, sometimes up to 5 miles a day and had never met a stranger. She also enjoyed dinners out, spending time with her family and friends.
Left to cherish Marge are her 2 children: Lynne (Danny Johnson) Bosh of Marion and Jeffrey (Arlene) Gattshall of Grove City; 3 grandchildren: Eric and Matthew Bosh and Courtney (Zack Scott) Gattshall; 1 great-grandchild, Leo Bosh; brother-in-law, Earl Gattshall of Columbus; several amazing nieces, nephews, cousins, walking buddies and many friends whom she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents and husband Marge was preceded in death by a brother, Morris Westbrook and sister, Joanne Catron.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center St. Cardington, Ohio 43315. A grave side service will be held immediately following the visitation in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
