Marilyn J. Shoemaker, age 81 of Fulton, died Friday, December 13, 2019, at Heartland of Marion. She was born on April 28, 1938, in Cardington to the late Clyde J. and Sophia A. (Miles) Longshore.
Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of the Cardington Lincoln High School. She had worked at Morrow County Courthouse, Burcliff Industries, and as an aid in a nursing home.
Marilyn was a lifetime member of Center United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Marilyn’s first love was her family and being a busy grandmother.
Marilyn is survived by her 3 children: Cindy (Jerry) Weston of Cardington, Tony (Barb) Shoemaker of Cardington and Larry Shoemaker of Fulton; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by a brother, James Longshore.
Friends may call on Monday Dec. 16, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center St. in Cardington. Marilyn’s funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11:00AM at the funeral home and her burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery.
