Loretta Georgia (Foster) Irons

Loretta G. Irons, age 89 of Cardington passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at Marion General Hospital. She was born on December 10, 1932, in Marion to John and Bertha (Henning) Foster who preceded her in death.

Loretta was a 1950 graduate of Mount Gilead High School. She went on to be the Secretary to the Superintendent of Cardington-Lincoln Schools.

On November 28, 1953, Loretta married Norman E. Irons who preceded her in death.

Loretta is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her siblings Carl Foster, Eugene Foster, Daniel Foster Wilbur Foster, Betty Jackson, Barbara Burnell, and Virginia Witzel.

Friends may call on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington, with the funeral service directly following at 11:00 am.
