Lora Lee Burge

Lora L. Burge, age 57 of Cardington died Friday, September 21, 2018 at Marion General Hospital.  She was born on March 23, 1961 to the late Lewis and Loretta (Snyder) Ebersole.

Lora graduated from TriRivers and did finishing work on new home construction and home renovations. She enjoyed outdoor activities, particularly boating at Alum Creek with her family, cutting trails in the woods for four-wheel riding, and horseback riding.

On September 25, 1981 Lora married the love of her life, Mark Burge, who survives in Cardington.

In addition to her husband, Lora is survived by two sons, Preston and Travis Burge both of Cardington; grandchildren: Kamryn, Owen, Conner, and Clayton Burge, Vinny Seavolt, Amber Townsend, and Logan Bowman; siblings: Teresa (Kim) Waggoner of Mt. Vernon, Scott (Jennie) Ebersole of Delaware, and brother-in-law Bob (Jill) Jenkins of Fredricktown; in-laws: Rona (Greg) Young of Mt. Gilead, Rory Burge of Mound Ridge, Kansas, Jeff (Ruby) Burge of Marysville, and Scott Burge of Flat Gap, Kentucky; and many close friends who are a part of her extended family.

In addition to her parents, Lora was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Jenkins, and her in-laws, Ronald and Sharon Burge.

Friends may call on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 9:30 to11:30 a.m. at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington.  The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Todd Waggoner officiating.  Following the service the burial will take place in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Chesterville.
