Lonnie Lou Shults

Mr. Lonnie L. Shults, 86, of Murray, formerly of Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

Mr. Shults was born to the late Charles and Mable Breece Shults in Delaware, OH on December 19, 1937. Lonnie graduated from Elm Valley High School in Ashley, OH in 1955.

Mr. Shults was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who was a true lover of books, sports and dancing. He found joy in connecting with others and had a gift of making people feel welcome. Mr. Shults was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Louis Shults; a brother, Jack Shults; two sisters, Janice Maples and Rheda Watts.

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his loving wife of 67 years, Mrs. Lois Shults of Hazel, KY; a son, Charles Shults (Linda) of Murray; three grandchildren, Dawn Hesselrode (Shane), Selina McCord (Paul), Wesley Shults (Caroline) and ten great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Lonnie will take place Friday, November 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Ashley Union Cemetery, 9800 Ashley Road, Ashley, Ohio 43003.
