Obituary

Lois D. Cherbonneau, age 72 of Delaware passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at the Ohio Living Sarah Moore. She was born on November 15, 1949, in Galion to Walter and Sarah Black who preceded her in death.

Lois was a 1967 graduate of River Valley High School. She had worked at Morning View Nursing home as a Nurses Aid. Lois loved to clean, going on shopping trips and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her children: Shelly (Marvin) Hart of Rutledge TN., and Rob (Tamara) Rose of Caledonia; eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; and her brother Steven (Charlene) Black of Galion.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her grandson Jason Whipple, three brothers Jimmy, Ronnie, and Don, and two sisters Shirley and Alfreda.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington, with the funeral directly following at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Following the service, the burial will take place in the German 16 Cemetery, 7759 Morral Kirkpatrick Road, Caledonia, Ohio.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Sarah Moore staff for taking such good care of Lois.
