Leatha Elizabeth "Libby" Davis

Leatha Elizabeth "Libby" Davis age 95 of Marion passed away on Thursday June 8, 2023, at Kingston of Marion. She was born on January 18, 1928, in Westfield, Ohio to the late Martin L. and Ella Estella Fern (Slack) Davis.

Libby graduated Valedictorian from Cardington Lincoln High School in 1945. She went on to work for Marion Power Shovel as the secretary for 46 years until retirement and was a member of the MPS 25- year club.

Libby attended Central Christian Church and was a member of the former Westfield Methodist Church. She was member of the Marion and Pleasant Senior Centers as well as the Ruth Circle of Central Christian Church, the Red Hat Society. Libby loved to play cards and was in a card club. In her free time Libby enjoyed shopping. She moved to the Kingston Residence in Marion in August of 2014.

Libby is survived by her twin sister Evelyn Shoults of Mount Gilead, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by her sister Berneice (Stanton) Hough.

Friends may call on Monday June 12, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Service 440 Center Street, Cardington, Ohio 43315. The funeral service will be held Tuesday June 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Westfield Cemetery.
