Larry W. Taylor Sr., beloved father, grandfather and brother, age 71 of Mount Gilead passed away Monday February 10, 2025, at Marion General Hospital. He was born on February 5, 1954, in Portsmouth, Ohio to James R. and Amanda I. (Boggs) Taylor.
Larry was a 1972 graduate of Troy High School. He had worked for Diamond Innovations in Worthington as a Product Processor.
On April 8, 1983, Larry married Nancy Ann (Russell), she preceded him in death on January 18, 2022.
Left to cherish Larry's memory is his children: Keith (Melissa) Akers of Fredericktown, Kim Akers of Mount Gilead, Sue (Rich) Kimes of Fulton and Larry (Hope) Taylor Jr. of Ashland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers: David and Danny Taylor, as well as his sisters: Lori Queen and Kathie Beaner.
In addition to his parents, James and Amanda, and his wife Nancy, Larry is preceded in death by his brother Keith Taylor and grandson Sheldon Greene.
Friends may call on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington with the funeral service directly following at 1:00 PM with Celebrant LeAnne Gompf officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
