Larry Edward Etgen

Larry E. Etgen, age 66 of Cardington passed away Monday, October 24, 2022, at his residence. He was born on October 17, 1956, in Mount Gilead to Arthur L. and Barbara J. (Shaffer) Etgen.

Larry was a 1975 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School. He was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed riding on his golf cart and admiring his farm. Larry liked to have fun and was always a jokester. He loved music, traveling and playing the guitar.

In addition to his mother Barbara J. Etgen of Ashley, Larry is survived by his children Paul (Angie) Etgen of Cardington, and Joe (Sara) Etgen of Athens, his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, friends Vickie Carter and Tina Higman, his siblings James Etgen of Ashley, Theresa Cremeans of Ashland, and Brenda (John Nemcek) Rayo of Florida.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Arthur Leon Etgen and brother-in-law Ted Cremeans.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Friday November 4, 2022, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Service, 440 Center Street, Cardington, Ohio 43315. Following the celebration of life, a light dinner will be served at the American Legion Hall, 307 Park Street, Cardington, Ohio 43315.
