Lance Knodell Obituary

Lance W. Knodell, beloved father, grandfather and brother, age 55 of Marengo passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at his residence. He was born on September 28, 1970, in Bucyrus, Ohio to Larry L. Knodell and Carol J. (Bailey) Knodell.

Lance was a 1988 graduate of Big Walnut High School. Lance was a skilled tile layer whose work was defined by precision, patience, and true craftsmanship. With a keen eye for detail and a steady hand, he turned ordinary spaces into beautifully finished works of art. Whether laying intricate patterns or ensuring every line was perfectly set, he approached each project with pride and professionalism. His dedication to quality left a lasting mark on countless homes and businesses, and his workmanship will be remembered by all who had the privilege of seeing his skill in action.

Lance had a deep passion for sports, especially baseball, which he loved both playing in his younger years and watching throughout his life. He was also an avid fan of Ohio State football, a team he followed with great pride.

Lance is survived by his daughter Avrie (Dante) Gray of Ashley, his son Mason Knodell of Arizona; three grandchildren: Lennin, Palmer, and Atlas Gray; his siblings: Larry Knodell II of Jacksonville. FL, and Lisa (Rick) Crooks of Mount Gilead; his mother, Carol Knodell of Bradenton, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Lance was preceded in death by his father, Larry Knodell and his sister, Lori Knodell.

A celebration of Lance's life is being planned, and details will be announced by the funeral home once arrangements are finalized. The family appreciates your love, support, and patience during this time.
