Kenneth Lewis Hull, age 81, of Mount Gilead died Sunday, May 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 25, 1939, near Cardington to the late Virgil Leo and Hazel Marie (Mathis) Hull.
Ken married Donna "Vonnie" Y. (Wiseman) November 1, 1957 at St. John (Windfall) Church, Cardington. She preceded him in death December 23, 2014.
Ken was a 1957 graduate of Mount Gilead High School. He worked as a plumber for several decades, first for Levering Brothers, then later owning and operating his own business, Ken Hull Plumbing. Ken had a tireless approach to his craft and worked hard to provide for his family. He was quick to help those with urgent needs and emergencies.
Ken was a family man and enjoyed spending free time with his children and grandchildren. His passion was boating. He owned several boats over the years. He loved his tractors as well. He was member of the First Presbyterian Church, Mt. Gilead.
During his lifetime Ken flipped more than 18 houses with his wife, Vonnie and daughter Carol. He had a special talent to visualize what could be in his mind and then created it in detail. He and Vonnie had many friends. Through the years, they opened their home and their hearts to many extended family members.
Survivors include his 3 daughters: Jo Ellen (Randy) Braden, Lisa (Carmel Cooper) Hull, and Carol Lessick; 3 grandchildren: Lindsay (Daryl) Lester, Nathan Braden, and Wyatt Lessick; and 2 great-grandchildren: Reagan and Keegan Lester. Also surviving are his brother-in-law Joe Graham, many step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends are welcome Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center St., Cardington, Ohio, 43315. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Rivercliff Cemetery.
