Karen Sue (Denton) Stephens

Karen S. Stephens, age 78 of Cardington passed away Thursday August 17, 2023, at her home. She was born on September 9, 1944, in Cardington to the late Virgil D. and Marguerite E. (Heacock) Denton.

Karen was a 1962 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. She was a school bus driver and a kitchen aid for Cardington- Lincoln School.

Karen was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bingo and spending time with her grandchildren doing crafts, playing games, and helping with 4-H.

Karen married Russell L. Stephens in Las Vegas; he survives in Cardington.

In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by her children: Michael (Jamie) Strait of Mt. Vernon, Dawn Knopp of Troy, Gregory Stephens of Cardington, Linda Bateman of Bedford, IN., and Denise Radcliff of Cardington; and five grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother Denny Denton

A celebration of Karen's life will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center St. Cardington, Ohio 43315 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
