Karen Longstreth Obituary

Karen S. Longstreth, age 70, of Mt. Vernon died Saturday Feb. 1, 2020 at the Kobacker House. She was born March 7, 1949 in Delaware to the late George F. and Susie (Christian) Longstreth.

Karen loved her babies and enjoyed listening to music. Karen’s most treasured moments in life were spending time with her family.

Karen is survived by her siblings, Kate Willis of Delaware, Rick (Elaine) Longstreth of Cardington, Mike (Paula) Longstreth of Richwood, Cheryl (Zane) Layman of Delaware, Tina (Dewey) Berry of Delaware, and Brent (Leslie) Longstreth of Marion and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Longstreth.

Friends may call on Wednesday Feb. 5, 2020 from 6:00 until 7:00 PM. at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. A celebration of Karen’s life will then begin at 7:00 PM. with Pastor Brent Longstreth officiating. A graveside service will be held on Thursday morning at 10:00AM in the Fairview Memorial Park south of Delaware.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a memorial donation in honor of Karen’s life are asked to consider the Kobacker House or a local Hospice organization of your choice.
