Kaleb M. Kantzer, age 35 of Cardington passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, after a brief illness at Ohio Health Doctors Hospital. He was born on December 19, 1989, to John Ryan Kantzer and Kimberly (Truax) Habegger.
Kaleb was a 2008 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. Kaleb was a skilled general maintenance contractor. He took pride in tackling a wide range of projects, from small repairs to larger renovations, always ensuring that each job was completed with care and attention to detail.
Kaleb was a dedicated member of the Mount Gilead Church of Christ, where he actively participated in church activities and was active in Fireside Faith. He had a passion for technology, and his love for computers was a defining part of his life. He enjoyed exploring the endless possibilities of the digital world, from immersing himself in video games to reading science fiction novels that sparked his imagination.
Kaleb is survived by his mother Kimberly Habegger of Fort Wayne, IN, his father John Ryan (Stephanie) Kantzer of New Washington; his maternal grandparents, Dave and Linda Truax, his paternal grandparents, John and Rynette Kantzer; his siblings, Chelsea Ellman of Boise, ID, Kayla (Eli) Casper of Fort Wayne, IN, Tayler (Rollin) Brenneman of Lima, Jessi (Jacob) Horsley of Pataskala, and Ryley, Liam, and Harper Kantzer of New Washington.
Friends may call on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington, with the funeral service directly following at 12:00 PM with Pastor Doug Bryan officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
