Julia F. "Fran" Ministeri, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, age 76 of Ashley passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 21, 1948, in Marion, Ohio to the late James W. and Jean F. (Murray) Hickman.
Fran was a 1966 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School. After graduation she joined the U.S. Air Force and served honorably until her discharge in 1969.
Fran was a passionate woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid crocheter, loved to bowl, play piano, and play cards, and always enjoyed a good softball game. Above all, she cherished her family, and often found herself at their sporting events, cheering them on with unwavering support. Her warmth and kindness, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
On August 30, 1968, Fran married Vincent L. Ministeri, he preceded her in death March 26, 2013.
Left to cherish Fran's memory are her children: Vincent (Sarah) Ministeri of Blacklick and Aimee (Michael) Maes of Delaware; two grandchildren, Marsella and Cecelia Smith; her siblings: Frank (Diane) Hickman, Mary Jorjia (Art) Campbell, and James Hickman.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, at the funeral home at 11:00 am with her brother, Frank Hickman officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in Peak Cemetery with full military honors.
