John Thomas Criswell

John T. Criswell, age 83 of Marengo died Monday, February 21, 2022, at his home. He was born on January 17, 1939, in Marion to Glen and Mary (Storer) Criswell who preceded him in death.

John worked at Snyder's Mill. In addition to being a farmer, John would also help many different people hang drywall. John loved farming and was a member of a tractor club as well as a horse club.

On June 9, 1967, John married Constance Armstrong in Mount Gilead, she preceded him in death on June 8, 2018.

John is survived by his son John D. (Kathy) Criswell of Marengo, three grandchildren: Samantha (Luke) Hetterscheidt, Jordan (Martin) Daniels and Erek Criswell, one great grandchild Lilly Daniels and his brother Fred (Eva) Criswell of Marengo.

In addition to his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by his brother Roger Criswell and sister Ruth Ann Adams.

Friends may call on Friday, March 4, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington.
