John Clark Obituary

John H. Clark, age 94 of Mount Gilead died on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Woodside Village Care Center. He was born on November 27, 1928, in Ashland to the late Jessie and Flossie (Sheets) Clark.

John was a 1946 graduate of Ashland High School. After his graduation John enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country honorably. After his time in the military, John went to work as a shop foreman for J.G. Clark until his retirement.

Left to cherish John's memory is his significant other of 44 years, Maxine Waddell of Mount Gilead; a son, Dale Clark of Rhode Island; a sister, Doris Strong of Ashland; Maxine's two sons: Roger (Susan) Waddell of Mount Gilead and Gene (Colleen) Waddell of Fredericktown as well as numerous grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by 3 sons: John Clark Jr., Jerry Clark and William Clark as well as a brother, Dale Clark.

In keeping with John's final wishes, no formal services will be observed.
