Joan M. Ruble, beloved mother and aunt, age 81, of Cardington passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at Willow Brook Christian Village in Delaware, Ohio. She was born on July 14, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan.
Joan received her associates degree in Signing and Interpreting from St. Petersburg College and was inducted into the National Honor Society. Her passion for communication and helping others led her to her career as an interpreter for Florida, Westerville, Upper Arlington, and ultimately, her retirement from Delaware City Schools.
Joan had a love for all things Christmas, snowmen, and Snoopy, bringing joy to those around her with her collection of snowmen that she proudly displayed. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether it was playing computer games, reading books, or playing a few rounds of euchre and spades with her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
On June 11, 1960, Joan married Walter Vincent Ruble in Canton, Ohio, he preceded her in death on August 17, 2024. They were blessed to share nearly two-thirds of a century together, and now they are reunited for eternity.
Joan is survived by her son Todd Ruble of Columbus, daughter Cherelyn (Robert) Bolt of Florida, as well as three special nieces: Tina Ruble, Tammie Ruble-Thomas and Julie Prevenslik, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Joan will take place on Wednesday, February 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Glendale Union Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Hintz officiating.
Gompf Funeral Service of Cardington is honored to have been chosen to assist the Ruble family with Joan's final wishes and condolences may be expressed at www.gompffh.com.
