Juanita G. Hummell-Dowalter beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 88 of Edison passed away May 13, 2025, at Woodside Village Care Center. She was born on October 2, 1936, in Trowbridge, Michigan to the late to Harry and Dora Roach Sr.
Juanita was a 1954 graduate of Willis High School in Delaware. She went on to work as a cook for Morning View Care Center until her retirement.
Juanita loved taking care of and raising her children, her family was most important to her. Her legacy of love and compassion will be carried on through her family. In her free time she loved to bird watch and watch baseball.
Juanita is survived by her children: William "Bill" (Teresa) Hummell Jr. of Marengo, Jimmy Hummell of Edison, Johnny (Cindy) Hummell of Cardington, Gary Hummell of Cardington, Chris (Shelia) Hummell of Delaware, and Charlie Hummel of Marion; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, and her husbands: William Hummell Sr, George Hummel, and Theodore Dowalter, Jaunita was preceded in death by her son Steven Hummell Sr, and her siblings Evelyn Smith, Janette Rowley and Harry Roach Jr.
