Jarred M. Wardlaw, age 23 of Cardington died Saturday June 3, 2023. He was born on March 21, 2000, in Marion to John W. and Erica (Boger) Wardlaw. Jarred's Father John preceded him in death, but his Mother Erica survives in Cardington.
Jarred was a 2019 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. He worked as a general contractor for Cedar Ridge.
He enjoyed playing basketball and working out. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Miami Heat. He will be missed by his German Shepard dog Sarge.
Jarred was the most loving and caring person. He was truly a friend to everyone. Our world has been turned upside-down since his passing. Twenty-three years is not long enough. We ask in remembrance of Jarred that you love unapologetically, appreciate the time you have, and treat others the way Jarred did. The world was a brighter place with Jarred and the sun will never feel bright or warm enough without him.
We know Jarred was greeted by his Dad at the gates of heaven. They are both up there cracking jokes and catching up. We also know Jarred was so excited to meet his niece, Amelia. Amelia already has a Cleveland Browns onesie from her uncle. We pray Amelia feels the love of Jarred and ask you to keep sharing your memories. One day we will see Jarred again and give him hell for leaving us too soon.
In addition to his Mother Erica, Jarred is survived by his sibling's; John H. Wardlaw of Larue and Mackenzie (Jacob) Hoffman of Marion ; maternal grandmother, Sharon Boger of Cardington; paternal grandparents, Jim and Rebecca Wardlaw of Iowa; aunts and uncles; Lauri (Bryant) Mosher of Marengo, Dawn (Scott) Crum of Cardington, Pauline (Doug) Janssen of IA, Clifford Wardlaw of MN, Robert (Leighann) Wardlaw of CO; along with a niece, 2 nephews and many cousins.
